The goal of this three day, sixteen-hour weekend workshop will be to give you enough time to write, read your work aloud, meet one-on-one for personal feedback and condense a six-week BWC course into a pop-up, high-touch experiential retreat. We will dive deep into dialogue work, textured time shifts, creating a narrative world and literary tension. The syllabus includes work by Jessmyn Ward, Ocean Vuong, Roxane Gay and more. You will reboot your storytelling rituals, gain insight into your authentic style and leave with a whole new set of tools to approach your writing practice. There will also be time to shmooze, hang at the Hoxton Hotel, connect with a new creative community, drink coffee + cocktails around the fireplace and explore Williamsburg away from the rigamorole of your everyday life.
